another update on my day to day doings over here in Austria.
I have been super busy with school wearing me out, the mental stimulation of trying to understand a language you barely know is really tiring and add that on top of everything else I am doing and you have one stuffed person.
Since my last update I havn't done too much, school Monday to Friday, although the school starts at 0730 and goes until 1305 so it is crazy for me to be on the bus by 0645, and at school by 0700, it is strange, but also great that you know when school is over you get to go home to a huge lunch! 6am starts really aren't my thing!
My German speaking is putting along at a relatively slow but steady pace, but I really wish it were a lot easier, but you have to work for what you want.
It is quite funny, I have been put into the 2nd Form (equivalent of year 5/6 in Australia) for German and I feel as though I should be performing tricks in a zoo because my first days in these classses (I have 2 different ones) I was stared at the whole lesson, but it was fine it is helping my German to be in these classes as well.
Although I have stopped doing Latin, Physics and Biology because my brain was struggling enough with learning general German things not including scientific words and Latin, I still have a full day because these classes have been replaced with 2nd form German!
My horse riding is still up and running and I feel as though I am improving immensly and this also helps my German a lot because my instructor doesnt speak English and if I dont understand and she can't put something simply it becomes a hilarious game of charades!
I went with my host mum, Andrea, to Linz on Saturday for a day of shopping, which I probably spent too much money doing, and we also went to a Greek resteraunt for dinner and then to the movies, which was in English with German subtitles, and it was a great day/s because we didnt get home until 1am because the fog was so thick to drive through it took an extra hour to drive!!
I head off to Schladming on Saturday for a week of skiing and cross my fingers no injuries, and then I am back once more for a little while in school and off once more on the tour of Europe in April, I am very excited for both!
My host Rotary club in Eferding has also invited me on a weekend in the Czech Republic and my school has invited me on my forms week long camp (if it can be called a camp) to Paris which would also be amazing!
So over the next few weeks expect a lot of excitement on the blog front as I try and squeeze all of what I am doing onto it!!
I will also update you with photos soon, but I still havn't gotten them all off my camera so as soon as that is done you will recieve
:)
Miss you all a lot
Liebe Grüße
xoxo
